he City of Paramount as been working with many partners to bring COVID-19 vaccinations to the people of Paramount.

We are adding as many names of residents as we can to our waitlist, regardless of their eligibility status or their tier. Then, when vaccination opportunities become available, they will be contacted. To add your name, call 562-220-2121, 562-220-2124 or 562-220-2125. Also keep in mind that the vaccine is being given for free to people who live in Los Angeles County, regardless of immigration status. You will not be asked about your immigration status when you get a vaccine. Your medical information is private and will not be shared with anyone. Beginning April 1, California residents 50 and older will be eligible to be vaccinated, and starting April 15, residents older than 16 will also be eligible. An increasing supply of doses from the federal government is becoming available, and statewide efforts are underway to get more shots into arms. State officials expect that California will receive 2.5 million doses per week in the first half of April (up from 1.8 million at the end of March), and that number is expected to increase to more than three million doses per week by the second half of April. Nearly 16 million vaccine doses have been administered in California to date, many more than in any other state; however, the per-capita vaccination rate is about average compared to the rest of the country. California healthcare providers have now been given the discretion to vaccinate family members of those who are eligible to receive vaccine.
