CITY OF PARAMOUNT
Business Remodels Brighten Up City The City of Paramount has helped commercial property owners remodel their buildings on major thoroughfares since the early 1980s. These upgrades include things like fresh stucco, new roofs, renovated signage, decorative walls and attractive landscaping. A number of projects around town are completed each year. Standard Catering, for instance, a longtime presence on Alondra near Garfield, received a handsome makeover completed in April. Also from early this year, the strip mall featuring La Michoacan was refreshed and refurbished. And one of the most noticeable rehabs was the total transformation of Jack in the Box in the shopping center at Alondra and Downey. With the Commercial Rehabilitation Program, the City pays 80% of the cost, with the participant covering 20%. For more information on participation in this property renovation program, please call (562) 220-2036.
