Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Come to this Special Event on February 26 The Paramount City Council is pleased to announce the City’s second annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast to be held on Friday, February 26, at Progress Park Plaza. The public is invited for a morning meal and a message of faith. A number of local religious leaders will participate. Special presentations will include Chris Archuleta speaking on “Paramount is Paramount in My Life,” Pastor Grady Jones delivering a talk from “A Shepherd’s Perspective” and the keynote address given by Pastor Kevin Korver. Entertainment will be provided by the Community Church Choir. The event begins at 7:00 a.m. and will last for approximately one hour. Progress Park Plaza is located at 15500 Downey Ave., Paramount. Tickets are required and are $10 per person. Please purchase tickets at the City’s Recreation Department, 15300 Downey Ave., Paramount. “Paramount Today” Offers State of the City Report to Residents The Paramount City Council will present “Paramount Today: A Report to the Community” on Thursday, March 11, at 7:00 p.m. at Progress Park Plaza. The talk and slide show, given by City Manager Linda Benedetti-Leal, will review past and current accomplishments in the City, as well as future plans for our town.
