City Council Election Day is June 7, 2022 The next City of Paramount General Municipal Election will be held on June 7 for two seats on the City Council. All registered voters will receive a sample ballot and vote-by-mail ballot in the mail by mid-May. There are multiple ways to return your ballot: • By mail, no postage is necessary. • At any participating Vote by Mail Ballot Drop Box location. (There are two in town, one at the Paramount Library, 16254 Colorado Ave., and another at the Paramount Park Community Center, 14400 Paramount Blvd.) • At any Vote Center in L.A. County (one will be at Progress Park Plaza, for other locations near you visit lavote.gov). The City’s election is being held in conjunction with the statewide primary election and the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder/County Clerk is the primary source for specific election information, including registering to vote, sample ballots, voting by mail, and voting locations. Free Services for Paramount Job Seekers and Employers Paramount residents and businesses are eligible for free services from the Southeast Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board (SELACO). The non-profit specializes in solutions for employers seeking a trained workforce and career help for job seekers. SELACO promotes the growth of companies through access to labor market data, information on tax credits, business development, loan programs, labor laws, business-to-business services, business start-ups, and more. Job seekers can use the state-of-the-art Career Center and take part in workshops in job search techniques and resume building.
