Close Before You Doze
Closing your bedroom door at night can slow the spread of smoke, heat and toxic gases during a fire, giving your family extra time to escape safely.
Carbon Monoxide Safety
Install CO alarms on every level of your home and outside sleeping areas to help keep your family safe – especially if you have gas appliances or an attached garage.
Smoke Alarms
Install smoke alarms on every level of the home, inside every bedroom and outside sleeping areas. Test your alarm monthly and replace them every 10 years to ensure they work when needed.
Home Fire Escape Planning
Make a fire escape plan with your family and setup a safe meeting place outside – either a trusted neighbor’s home or mailbox – far enough from the home in case of a fire. Practice the plan regularly.

Stay in the kitchen while cooking and keep flammable items away from heat sources. If there’s a grease fire, NEVER use water. Turn off the heat and cover the pan with a lid.

This summer, our community came alive, donning their red, white and blue in celebration of a major milestone in our nation’s history—America 250. This year marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America, and here in the City of Palm Beach Gardens, we’ve been celebrating all summer long.
Beginning with our Memorial Day Ceremony and Concert, the City held several events to commemorate this historic moment and provide our community with opportunities to come together in honor of our nation’s past, present and future. They include our Star-Spangled Splash Fourth of July Celebration at the Aquatic Complex, the Stars, Stripes & Sweets Hitting Frenzy at the Tennis and Pickleball Center, our “Voice of 250” Essay and Art Contest at Camp Gardens and more.
Stars & Stripes Hitting Frenzy
Each Sunday in June at The Gardens GreenMarket, we hosted America 250 celebrations with patriotic games, events, live music and giveaways. At the GreenMarket’s Flag Day Celebration, “Grand Ol’ GreenMarket,” Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue and Police attended, giving our community a chance to meet local heroes and interact with their equipment.

Additionally, Fire Rescue hosted Fire Station Open Houses, each Saturday, where they opened their doors to the community and offered free tours.

Among our various America 250 celebrations, the City has been especially proud to announce the success of its first-ever Neighborhood Block Party Grant Program
Independence Day parties are a cornerstone of American culture and summers. Neighbors come together to cook, eat, celebrate and reflect on our nation’s rich history. These gatherings give us a chance to connect with each other, to build trust and to strengthen bonds.
The Palm Beach Gardens Neighborhood Block Party Grant was established to support the Independence Day parties happening in our City by providing up to $500 in reimbursement. The funding could be used for food, non-alcoholic beverages, music and entertainment, decorations and more. In total, the City’s program helped nine communities host their own Independence Day block parties.

Palm Beach Gardens was part of the World Cup fever that swept through the United States this summer as England and Portugal, two of the leading contenders for the FIFA World Cup title, completed their official training camps at The Gardens North County District Park.
Bringing two of the world's elite national teams to the City was no small accomplishment. City staff coordinated every aspect of the experience, from contract negotiations to preparing fields and amenities that met the standards of international competition. Our City’s efforts also included overseeing the construction of approximately 25,000 square feet of temporary facilities that supported the teams throughout their stay. Both teams leased the facilities as private rentals.
England opened the summer with a prep-camp, using Palm Beach Gardens practice sessions to help players adjust to South Florida’s heat and humidity before their official base camp training. Portugal, led by global soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo, followed as the City served as the team’s official World Cup Team Base Camp for three weeks during the group stage.
The impact extended well beyond the playing fields. Hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, and local businesses welcomed an influx of team personnel, media, and support staff who spent several weeks in the community. International attention also reinforced Palm Beach Gardens as a destination capable of hosting premier sporting events.
As the temporary facilities are removed and the park returns to everyday community use, Palm Beach Gardens reflects on an extraordinary chapter in its history. The City played a meaningful role in the World Cup journey of two international soccer powerhouses and demonstrated, once again, that Palm Beach Gardens is where champions play.

Pursuant to Florida Statute 316.212, a golf cart may be operated only upon a municipal street that has been designated by the municipality for use by golf carts.
On July 9, 2026, the Palm Beach Gardens City Council adopted Ordinance 17, 2026 allowing golf carts on certain roadways and designated areas within the City of Palm Beach Gardens.

A NEW PIECE OF PUBLIC ART NOW WELCOMES VISITORS TO THE OFFICES OF RAFFERTY DOMNICK CUNNINGHAM & YAFFA (RDCY) AT 4560 DONALD ROSS RD. TITLED EQUAL JUSTICE FOR ALL, THE MOSAIC MURAL BY RENOWNED CENTRAL FLORIDA ARTIST CHERIE BOSELA SERVES AS A VISUAL LANDMARK AND POWERFUL REPRESENTATION OF THE PRINCIPLES THAT DEFINE THE LEGAL PROFESSION.
Located on the northwestern corner of Building D at the entrance to the law office, the mural measures approximately 14 feet wide by 25 feet tall, totaling 350 square feet. The artwork features Lady Justice, one of the most recognizable symbols of the legal system. Depicted with a blindfold and scales, the figure represents fairness, impartiality and integrity, core values that guide the administration of justice and reflect the mission of the RDCY law firm.
Bosela’s intricate mosaic combines commercial ceramic tiles with handmade tiles crafted specifically for the piece. All of the tiles used to depict Lady Justice’s skin were individually created by the artist, adding depth, texture and character to the composition. Tile sizes range from one to eight inches, creating visual
interest and dimension throughout the mural. High-quality glass tiles, ceramics and natural stone further enhance the artwork, producing a vibrant interplay of color, texture and light.
The mural was fabricated in sections at Bosela’s Orlando studio before being transported and assembled on-site. The finished installation creates a seamless work of art that integrates beautifully with the building’s architecture. An engraved brass plaque identifying the mural as part of the City’s Art in Public Places program is incorporated into the design.
Illuminated from dusk until dawn by recessed wall-wash lighting, Equal Justice For All remains a prominent and engaging visual feature day and night.
The durable materials selected for the mural ensure its longevity while requiring minimal maintenance.
A University of Central Florida art graduate, Bosela has specialized in mosaic art since 2010. Her awardwinning work has been exhibited at prestigious venues across the country, including the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington, Orlando City Hall’s Mayor’s Gallery and the Parthenon Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.
Through its craftsmanship, symbolism and scale, Equal Justice For All enriches Palm Beach Gardens’ public art collection while celebrating the enduring ideals of justice and equality.

The Do’s & Don’ts of HURRICANE SHUTTERS
Many Floridians are familiar with hurricane shutters. We install them ahead of a named storm’s projected landfall to protect our homes and valuables. As we head deeper into Hurricane Season, we want to make sure you’re Storm Ready by reminding you when you can install hurricane shutters and when they must be taken down.
DO install hurricane shutters up to five days prior to a named tropical storm landfall.
DO remove hurricane shutters within five days following a storm’s passage.
DO NOT leave hurricane shutters installed for weeks or months on end.
Keeping your hurricane shutters installed for prolonged periods of time is considered a threat to the community’s health and safety. Prolonged shutter closures can obstruct visibility, hinder emergency personnel’s access to the property and create the appearance of vacant or abandoned properties.

The ExpEdition
How we collect our data
Every three years, the City conducts a community survey to observe, listen to and evaluate the level of services we are providing. We use this data to help determine priorities for our community.
This spring, a representative sample of households from every corner of the city shared their observations with us. ETC Institute, an independent research firm, collected and compiled each response, which were submitted anonymously.
Surveys were mailed to randomly selected households in spring 2026. Here’s what we found.

84% of residents are satisfied with the value they receive for the portion of their property taxes that fund City services.
If the City needs more revenue, 91% would prefer user-based fees over a property tax increase.
Where residents want to see the City grow
We asked residents what they’d like to see more of in the next five years, and where the City should focus its efforts.
Overall, Palm Beach Gardens residents are happy in their environment. They are satisfied with public safety, City services and the character of their neighborhoods. Where they would like to see the City focus next is safer streets, more connected mobility and continued investment in outdoor spaces and community amenities.

Finance
The Finance Department achieved the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Triple Crown Award by earning top honors in financial reporting, budget presentation and its Popular Annual Financial Report. Fewer than 400 government organizations nationwide receive this distinction.
Public Communications
The City’s Public Communications Department was recognized by the Florida Municipal Communicators Association (FMCA) for excellence in communications and marketing. Communications Specialist Ki Ki Hobbs (pictured center) also received the FMCA Rising Star Award.
Police
The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department received its 10th Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) reaccreditation award at the Meritorious level, recognizing more than 15 years of continuous accreditation with no findings of noncompliance.
Procurement
The Procurement Department received two prestigious Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) honors: the Annual Excellence in Procurement Award and the Sterling Agency Certification, a distinction awarded once every three years for excellence in public procurement.
