Heritage & Freedom Fest highlights a summer of fun
t
his summer, we will once again come together to celebrate our nationâs independence at the Heritage & Freedom Fest on July 2 - 4. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this wonderful event, and we will be adding a few special features to celebrate. In addition to the nationally-recognized musical acts, including Darryl Worley, Chuck Wicks, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Eve 6 and Five for Fighting, we will be adding a special Family Night on Friday, July 2. During Family Night, you and your children can come out and enjoy the carnival at discounted prices. Check out pages 2 - 4 for all of the details on this yearâs festival. Donât forget to join us the morning of Saturday, July 3, for my favorite event of the year, the annual Heritage & Freedom Fest Parade. This yearâs theme is âMemories of America;â it begins at 9:30 a.m. at Third and Main Streets and concludes near the festival grounds. Make sure to check out this issue of OâFallon Update and our Parks and Recreation Guide for more exciting events and activities in OâFallon. Youâll find something to do for every age and every taste.
