Urban Redevelopment Agency (URA) Moves Forward Plans were finalized by the City Council during July 2015 for the Jonesboro Urban Redevelopment Agency (URA), a mechanism provided for by GA State Law as a redevelopment tool for cities. The first designated area for the URA is Lee Street Park. Officers for the Jonesboro URA are: Joy B. Day, Chairman; Jule Segner (citizen), Vice-Chair; Ricky Clark, Secretary; Councilmembers Pat Sebo and Ed Wise, and citizen member Helen Meadows.

COUNCIL APPROVES DEVELOPMENT ON FAYETTEVILLE ROAD Rezoning Commercial to Residential Multifamily 6.25 ACRES ANNEXED INTO JONESBORO With a vote of 5-1 at a Called Meeting on July 1, 2015, the Jonesboro City Council approved the rezoning of two parcels of property on north Fayetteville Road, near North Main Street L to R above: Officers Steven Olinger, Calvin Scott, Cornell from “Neighborhood Commercial” to “Multifamily Madison, and Glenn Munsey.
