WHAT IS WEST IRVING CREEK?
▪ Drains 3+ square miles – 15%+ of the City south of SH-183
▪ Runs for 3+ miles – from Wyche Park to outfall south of Oakdale Road
▪ Constructed in the 1960s
▪ Inadequate to meet current standards for conveyance of 100-year flood events

▪ History of street and home flooding
▪ Portions not mapped by FEMA
▪ Urgent improvements underway:
