IRVING CITY COUNCIL GENERAL ELECTION: MAY 2 The office of the Mayor and City Council district places 3, 5 and 6 are up for election. Irving voters will head to the polls on May 2, 2026. Any resident who is a registered voter may vote for office of the Mayor. Only registered voters living in the single-member district places 3, 5 and 6 may vote for the candidate in their respective district. Residents of Dallas County may vote at any Dallas County Vote Center during Early Voting and on Election Day. Visit DallasCountyVotes.org for entire list.

Irving Public Library has launched a new mobile app! Providing patrons with a convenient way to stay connected to their library accounts, the new app is designed to be easy to use, allows users to track holds, manage checkouts and monitor due dates from a smartphone.

Downtown businesses JPT Graphics and Southern Petals & Pour, both participants in the city’s Enhancement Incentive Programs, hosted celebrations in April marking the completion of their improvement projects and continued business growth. JPT Graphics, a local branding and design services company, completed a mural highlighting the Heritage District along Irving Boulevard, enhancing visibility and contributing to the corridor’s visual character. Southern Petals & Pour, a floral shop planning to expand into events, a tea bar and wine offerings, completed exterior improvements including new siding, windows, doors and exterior paint, strengthening its storefront presence. The Enhancement Incentive Programs help bring

projects to life by creating public-private partnerships that support visible improvements and long-term investment in the district. These programs are available to eligible businesses located within the downtown area and Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 2.
