PARADE APPLICATIONS DUE BY JUNE 18 Irving's annual Sparks & Stripes Fourth of July Parade will be in the Heritage District on Friday, July 4 at 9 a.m., with the sounds of marching bands, floats and all things red-white-and-blue! Following the parade, enjoy live music at Heritage Park located at 217 S. Main St. Applications for parade floats are due no later than Wednesday, June 18 at 5 p.m. Participants are required to attend a mandatory parade meeting on Tuesday, June 24 at 6 p.m., at Irving City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd., in the Council Chambers. Entries should be decorated with a patriotic theme. Entries can opt to be judged in one of the following categories: Most Creative, Most Patriotic and the Grand Marshal Award. BUDGET INPUT TIME! Planning for the city’s Fiscal Year 2025-26 (FY26) budget is underway, and leadership is gathering suggestions, feedback and opinions on what should be considered for the FY26 budget, which begins Oct. 1, 2025.
Public Input Sessions City Hall | 825 W. Irving Blvd. June 26 | 7 p.m. Adoption of the budget is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18 and the city’s budget year runs from Oct. 1, 2025 to Sept. 30, 2026. To learn more about the city’s budget, visit IrvingTX.gov/Budget and click on the "FY25 Budget Executive Summary" tab for an overview of the current fiscal year budget.
