NTTBF 2025: ENDLESS STORIES BACK MARCH 1 The North Texas Teen Book Festival (NTTBF) is back for its 11th year! On Saturday, March 1, the free event at the Irving Convention Center features a celebration of tween and teen literature like no other. Attendees have the opportunity to immerse themselves in panel discussions, book shopping, author signings and more.

Irving is Enhancing Communication One Puzzle Piece at a Time Get ready, Irving — something BIG is on the horizon! The pieces are coming together for a fresh new online experience that will be unveiled in March. It’s a whole new way to connect with the City of Irving. Stay tuned as we take communication to the next level, one puzzle piece at a time. 

Visiting authors scheduled to appear include R.L. Stine, Gabi Burton, Stephanie Garber, Alan Gratz, Lauren Roberts, Ruta Sepetys and Karina Yan Glaser. Educator Day on Friday, Feb. 28 is a professional development day just for teachers and those in the academic and library fields. On the day of the festival, South, Valley Ranch and West Irving Libraries will be closed, and will reopen on Sunday, March 2. 

Winter Weather Response Shows Resiliency Winter weather came and went in January, bringing a mix of rain, sleet and snow to Irving. While many residents enjoyed the snow, city crews rose to the challenge and did not miss a beat keeping essential services running smoothly. HOME CHEMICAL COLLECTION EVENT: MARCH 22 The City of Irving offers residents a free service to dispose of home chemicals. The next Home Chemical Collection event takes place Saturday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the City of Irving Purchasing Building, 835 W. Irving Blvd. Acceptable Items
