Solid Waste Ordinance Revisions Help Address Concerns 50-Year-Old Ordinance Gets Much Needed Update, Plans Continue for Solid Waste Services Assessment

A full overview of the solid waste ordinance will be shared once approved by City Council. The ordinance revisions do not impact the ongoing discussion regarding the future solid waste collection model that will be determined once the study is complete next year. For questions regarding the ordinance, contact the Solid Waste Services Department at (972) 721-8059.

Public readings of the proposed ordinance revisions are planned for the City Council meetings on Aug.3 and Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. at Irving City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd.
