4. QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

▪ Will the contractor be on my property?
▪ For properties along the channel, access will likely be needed.
▪ What time will construction take place?
▪ Normal working hours will be between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday except for City recognized holidays.
▪ How long will my property be disrupted?
▪ The contractor will aim to minimize the length of disruption to individual properties. A property may be impacted for up to six months.
▪ How will I know if something will be removed from my property (trees, bushes, fences etc.)?
▪ Trees designated for removal will be marked in advance. The contractor will notify residents before arriving on the property and will provide an opportunity to ask questions before construction activities begin.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
▪ Will my fencing be restored to its original condition?
▪ New fences will be matched to the type and height of existing fencing.
▪ Will my landscaping be restored to its original condition?
▪ Trees will not be replaced, but irrigation systems and lawns will be restored. Other landscaping items will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
▪ I have a shed/pool/etc in my backyard. Will this be affected by construction?
▪ Pools and large/permanent structures will be protected in place using shoring. Small sheds will be relocated by the contractor. The contractor will coordinate with residents for relocation and moving of shed contents.
▪ What safety measures will be utilized during construction?
▪ Temporary fencing will be installed along the active construction area for safety purposes until the new permanent fencing is in place.

▪ How will I know when roads are closed for construction?
▪ Residents can receive email updates on road construction by subscribing to the City’s Notify Me service.
