HEALDSBURG IN THE NEWS
The world is now privy to a secret that Healdsburgers have known all along; this is a warm, welcoming and friendly place!
WorldAtlas, an online guide to geography, sociology, environment and travel, recently declared Healdsburg as “The Friendliest Small Town in California.”
A KRON-TV crew came to town on March 6, to find out firsthand. Of course, Healdsburg was welcoming and friendly!
Accompanied by Healdsburg Mayor Chris Herrod, the Healdsburg Museum, Mr. Moon’s, Marietta Cellars, Downtown Bakery & Creamery and Acorn Cafe opened early (to accommodate the morning show schedule) and were happy to tell the KRON live audience why Healdsburg is so special.
No surprises everyone talked about the people, how Healdsburg residents support each other, how we chat and wave when we see locals or visitors, and how our city’s amenities, history, weather and economy contribute to our friendly community.

BE FIRE SAFE, HEALDSBURG

A wet winter and warm weather means that vegetation is growing quickly. We encourage you to get an early start cutting grass and removing dead or dry brush around your property. This year, properties that are typically cut once a year may need multiple cuttings to reduce fire risk.
To be safe, we recommend mowing and weed cutting in the morning when temperatures and lower and humidity is higher. Please make sure your equipment is clean and free of debris to prevent accidental ignitions.
Maintaining defensible space is critical. Keep grass cut low, remove excess vegetation, and pay special attention to the first 5 feet around your home which can play a key role in improving your home’s wildfire resiliency.
