The proposed budget is based on City Council’s Strategic Priorities. The following steps outline the City’s budget process:
■ City administration reviews existing City programs and services to find cost or delivery efficiencies and propose alternatives.
■ Operating departments collaborate with Finance to review and draft proposed budgets.
■ Senior Management reviews the proposed budget through the lens of Councils Strategic Plan and adjusts in coordination with department Directors to develop scenarios and alternatives for Council to deliberate.
■ Public engagement launches to collect feedback from residents on their budget priorities.
NOVEMBER
■ Proposed budget and public engagement results presented to Council for deliberation.
