Memberships

At the Golden Community Center, membership is your gateway to year-round wellness, community connection, and mountain-view vitality. Located just north of Lions Park and across from the Clear Creek Trail, the Center also puts outdoor adventure right at your doorstep.

With the facility open on weekends and extra early on weekdays (5:30 a.m.), members enjoy access to indoor leisure and lap pools with hydraulic lift and zero-depth entr y, a hot tub and dr y sauna, full cardio and weight equipment, weekday and weekend classroom instruction, and a gym with basketball/volleyball and an elevated track.

The membership structure is designed to be flexible: Register for an annual pass, monthly installment plan, or daily/10-visit cards depending on you and your family’s habits.

Baby Goat Yoga

Hey there, fellow yogis! Are you ready for the ultimate Baby Goat Yoga experience? Look no further, because we’ve got you covered. Join us at Golden Community Center for a fun-filled session with our adorable baby goats. These little cuties are still on the bottle, so you’ll get to bond with them while getting your yoga on. Bring your own yoga mat, or rent a mat for $5 and have no worries about any surprises on yours. After 45 minutes of yoga, you’ll have 15 minutes to unwind and bottle feed the goats.

Dates: Sunday May 24, Saturday June 27, Sunday July 19, Saturday August 22, Sunday September 20

Teen Speed and Agility Summer Clinic

This four-week, twice-per-week training program helps young athletes build speed, agility, and confidence. Designed for all sports and skill levels, it focuses on core movement skills that improve performance on the field or court.

Led by Brandon Tracy, B.S. in Kinesiology and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), sessions teach proven techniques to improve acceleration, sprint speed, agility, and overall movement efficiency. Athletes will develop stronger first steps, quicker reactions, and better coordination through structured, high energy workouts. By the end of the program, participants will have a stronger foundation in speed and agility, along with practical skills they can apply to any sport.

Dates: July 21–August 13 (Tuesday & Thursday), 4:15–5:30 p.m.

Fee: $200 (Residents) / $220 (Non-Residents)

Youth Pottery Programs

Introducing new opportunities for aspiring artists and creative teens!

Youth Ceramics (Ages 11–13)

This six-week class introduces students to the world of ceramics through hand-building and beginner wheel techniques. Each week focuses on new skills, including pinch, coil, slab, and wheel throwing. Participants will learn how to prepare their pieces for firing and explore surface design using stamps, paints, and glazes. No previous experience required.

Dates: April 18–May 23 (Saturdays, 12:00–2:00 p.m.)

Fee: $145 (Resident) / $152 (Non-Resident)

Teen Wheel Throwing (Ages 13–18)

This six-week class focuses on the fundamentals of wheel throwing for teens interested in developing their potter y skills. Students will learn centering, shaping, trimming, and glazing techniques in a supportive, hands-on environment. No experience required.

Dates: April 18–May 23 (Saturdays, 2:30–4:30 p.m.)

Fee: $145 (Resident) / $152 (Non-Resident)

Summer Youth Ceramics Workshop (Ages 10–18)

Youth Ceramics Workshops are designed for children and teens to build their skills with clay, explore interests, and spend time with people their age. All abilities are welcome in these workshops. Mondays and Wednesdays will include instruction while Fridays are optional, allowing time to be in the studio and hang out. Check each listing for age ranges of individual sessions.

Dates: June 8–19, July 13–24, August 3–12 Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 1–3:00 p.m.

Fee: $145 (Resident) / $150 (Non-Resident)

Summer Aquatics in Golden

Swim Lessons

Dip into fun and growth at the Golden Community Center’s indoor pool complex. Our two pools, a lap pool and a leisure pool with zero-depth entr y and a big spiral water slide, cater to swimmers of all ages and abilities. From introducing your tot to the water to building endurance and refining strokes, the GCC team has your family covered with group, private, and semiprivate lessons for ages 6 months and up. All lessons are taught exclusively by trained City staff, so families know their swimmers are learning from trusted, qualified professionals.

Ages: 6 months and up

Dates: Session 1: April 6–May 2, Session 2: May 4–May 14, Session 3: June 6–July 2, Session 4: July 6–August 1, Session 5: August 3–August 13

Get Ready for a Splash-Tastic Summer!

Golden’s 10-acre outdoor aquatic park offers summer fun for the whole family. From toddlers making their first splash to lap swimmers logging laps under the Colorado sun.

The Splash at Fossil Trace is the place to be when nothing but a day by the pool will do. Kids love the zero-depth leisure pool with its play structure, spray fountains, and the crowd-favorite “Tipper” dump bucket, while thrillseekers can take on two large water slides. The eightlane, 25-meter lap pool with diving board rounds out the aquatic offerings for fitness swimmers and divers alike

When it’s time for a break, families can dig into Jefferson County’s biggest sandbox, grab lunch at Tipper’s Grill, or spread out on the surrounding lawn with lounge chairs, shaded structures, and day-use lockers to make a full day of it.

There’s Something for Everyone at the Golden Community Center

Athletics and Adult Recreation Opportunities

At the Golden Community Center, adult recreation goes far beyond the gym with seasonal outdoor sports and leagues that bring Golden’s active spirit to life. Adult leagues at Ulysses Park bring people together for classic summer fun through coed softball and kickball. You can also join organized volleyball, pickleball, tennis, and more, perfect for enjoying our parks, meeting neighbors, and having fun through friendly competition.

Inside, the GCC offers drop-in open gym, adult basketball pick-up games, and access to an elevated indoor track. If you prefer a class environment, you’ll find yoga, Pilates, spin, boot camps, Tai Chi, Zumba, and more to help build strength, flexibility, and balance.

Personal Training

For personalized guidance, the GCC also offers one-onone sessions, train-with-a-friend options, and smallgroup training with certified pros who tailor workouts to your goals.

Summer

Outdoor Pavilion Rentals

Reserve one of Golden’s park pavilions for your next outdoor gathering. Pavilions are the perfect setting for birthday parties, family reunions, picnics, and small celebrations.

Each pavilion rental provides a shaded space with picnic tables and convenient access to nearby park amenities. Three locations are available: Lions Park East, Lions Park West, and Golden Heights. Availability is limited during the summer season, so we recommend booking early to secure your preferred date. Outside of the rental season, pavilions are available on a first-come, first-ser ved basis.

Golden History Museum & Park

As a partner with the Golden Community Center, this local cultural treasure enriches programming by offering histor y-themed workshops, exhibits and camps that extend learning beyond the gym and pool. The Museum and Park offer free admission and host afterschool programs, school-break camps and hands-on experiences.

Through GCC membership, families can combine recreation with culture, a full complementary package for kids and adults alike. Stop by to feed the chickens, take a spin in the newest gallery, or participate in one of many age-appropriate cultural programs.

Active Older Adults

Golden’s older adult community finds a home at the GCC through the “Front Porch”, a dedicated upper-floor gathering and activity space open weekdays 8:00 a.m.2:00 p.m. The Front Porch offers drop-in activities, social space (coffee, reading, and mingling), clubs, day trips, health programs, games, sports teams, and outdoor adventures.

If the social side isn’t your preferred activity, the GCC supports the nationally recognized SilverSneakers and Renew Active/One Pass programs, making all the Golden Community Center’s amenities accessible for older adults.

Registration Details

No registration is required for many activities, creating a welcoming lounge-meets-community-center atmosphere.

Pickleball Programs

Golden Parks and Recreation offers a lineup of pickleball programs for all ages and abilities at the Tony Grampsas Gymnasium. Build skills, have fun, and promote active living!

Pickleball continues to thrive in Golden, and our summer offerings make it easy to get involved on your terms. From structured leagues and social mixers to skill-building clinics and private lessons, there’s a program for ever y level of play. Beginners can learn the fundamentals of paddle technique, footwork, and game strategy, while intermediate and advanced players can sharpen their skills through targeted drills, doubles strategy sessions, and competitive match play.

Programs run in multi-week sessions throughout the spring and summer, with options for youth, adults, and older adults alike. Whether you’re picking up a paddle for the first time, looking for regular social play, or ready to take your game to the next level, Golden’s pickleball programming provides an energetic and welcoming way to stay active all season long.

TGA Tennis

Tennis players of all ages can enjoy a great season on the courts with Golden’s partnership with TGA Tennis, part of High Altitude Youth Sports.

Our community tennis programs offer lessons and camps for both youth and adults, providing a fun and active way to spend time outdoors. All programming takes place at the Lions Tennis Courts, creating a convenient and welcoming setting to build skills, stay active, and enjoy the game all summer long.

Day Camps & Summer Fun

Camps at the Golden Community Center

The Golden Community Center’s state-licensed full-day camps deliver active, engaging fun during Jefferson County school breaks and throughout summer.

Designed for ages 2½–12, campers enjoy swimming, group games, arts and crafts, creative projects, in-house field trips, and more, all led by energetic counselors who keep kids moving and building friendships. Early morning and evening drop-off/pick-up options help support working families.

GCC camps offer a balanced mix of structure and free-play, giving kids the chance to learn new skills, try new activities, and recharge away from the school routine. For working families seeking a trusted, local option, GCC camps remain a beloved community staple.

Spots remain for Golden Community Center Summer Camp, but register soon! Families that are registered for at least one day of camp by May 8 can continue to add days throughout the summer.

Summer LEGO, Robotics & Science Camps

Snapology is a dynamic enrichment program, offering hands-on STEAM learning disguised as pure fun.

From stop-motion animation to robotic pets to Pokémon, these Snapology STEAM camps at the Golden Community Center use LEGO® bricks, robotics kits, coding tools, and creative building challenges to make summer fun and educational. Kids explore engineering, build and program robots, create animations, design structures, and tackle inventive missions alongside supportive instructors. It’s engaging, confidence-building, and endlessly imaginative. Snapology, where learning happens through play, discover y, and creativity!

Rooted Beginnings Preschool

Limited seats are still available for 2026–2027!

Come discover Rooted Beginnings Preschool, our fully licensed earlychildhood program for ages 2½–5. Rated 5-out-of-5 by Colorado Shines, Rooted Beginnings builds on the GCC’s long tradition of playbased learning using the Creative Curriculum and current best practices. Children grow socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively through hands-on activities, exploration, and caring guidance from our dedicated staff.

Rooted Beginnings is built for working families. Choose half-day or full-day programs, Monday through Friday, with rolling admission year-round. Drop-in days are available when something unexpected comes up. Eligible families can apply Colorado’s Universal Pre-K funding to reduce costs.

Skyhawks & SuperTots Sports

Skyhawks is a trusted national youth sports program partnering with the Golden Community Center to bring high-energy, skill-building sports experiences to kids ages 2–14.

Programs focus on fundamentals, teamwork, confidence, and having fun with offerings in soccer, basketball, baseball, flag football, volleyball, and multi-sport options. For the youngest athletes, Tiny Tots introduces movement, coordination, and basic skills in a playful, supportive setting.

Skyhawks coaches create a positive, encouraging environment where ever y child can tr y new sports, build friendships, and stay active.
