Milestone Hit at Police and Municipal Building

On July 23, 2025, the City of Golden officially broke ground on its new Police and Municipal Building at 311 10th Street, marking a major milestone in the long-running Heart of Golden initiative. The $60 million project will bring City Hall and a modern police headquarters under one roof, with full construction beginning in August and completion expected by mid-2027. Learn more at www.GuidingGolden.com/ heart-of-golden-moving-forward.

Discovery Phase Underway at Lena Gulch

The City is currently studying Lena Gulch to better understand the site and explore potential future uses. Located within the 100-year floodplain, Lena Gulch presents both opportunities and challenges that require careful evaluation. We are in the discovery phase, which includes field assessments and data collection to help determine what might be feasible in the future. As part of this effort, you may see City personnel on the South Neighborhoods property beginning in late August or early September. No decisions have been made—this early work is simply to gather the information needed to guide future planning.
