A huge thank you to Charleys Cheesesteaks & Wings in Forney for their generous donation of $2,876.42 to the Forney Fire Department. We’re grateful for your support and look forward to using these funds to continue serving our community.
WATER AND WASTEWATER IMPACT FEE STUDY
City Council approved a resolution authorizing a Professional Services Agreement with Freeman-Millican, Inc. to review and update the City of Forney’s Water and Wastewater Impact Fee Study. The update will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of Local Government Code Chapter 395. The total cost for completing the update, which includes up to six meetings with the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee and City Council, will not exceed $34,785.
NEW WATER LINE
Council approved a resolution authorizing a Professional Services Agreement with Freeman-Millican, Inc. to provide professional engineering design services for a new 8-inch water line loop from Painted Trail to Industrial Drive, with costs not to exceed $46,890. If additional services beyond the original project scope are required, the City Manager will review and approve any additional fees in accordance with the City’s purchasing policies before proceeding.
BOARD APPOINTMENTS
City Council filled vacancies on the Board of Adjustment and the Forney Economic Development Corporation. Congratulations to Latayla Burns, Stephen Batti, and Amanda Taylor for their appointments to the Board of Adjustment, and to Varma Rakesh for joining the Forney Economic Development Corporation.
