Design: Design Concept Conference was held on August 6, 2025. Additional discussion regarding potential for a new FM 148 at location of the new underpass required. Design work on hold until decision regarding alignment TxDOT would like to pursue is made. ITS is coordinating with the developer of the Cartwright Ranch. Westwood submitted revised options of immediate action improvements to existing FM 148 in July 2026. Revised options include extended two-way left-turn lane, right-turn lanes, and adjusted pavement widths. ITS is working to schedule a meeting with TxDOT, City of Crandall, and the developer to determine the preferred option. Survey: Aerial flight is complete and has being processed. Field work has been completed.
