2025

Water Quality Report Each year, we are proud to share how Cedar Rapids continues delivering safe, reliable, and affordable drinking water to our community. Our award-winning best-tasting tap water remains one of the best values available, even as we work steadily to manage maintenance needs, system upgrades, and long term infrastructure investments. Throughout the year, our crews repair main breaks, maintain hydrants, and coordinate projects that keep water flowing continually to homes and businesses across the city. These efforts are paired with strategic watershed partnerships that help protect source water quality and reduce flood risks through collaboration with farmers, conservation groups, and regional partners. We are also preparing for the future through major initiatives such as the replacement of aging water meters and the inventory and replacement of lead and galvanized service lines. These projects improve accuracy, transparency, and long term safety while ensuring our system continues meeting evolving federal requirements. Together, these efforts reflect our commitment to maintaining a resilient system that safeguards public health, supports economic growth, and delivers high quality water every day.
