This quarter highlights Boynton Beach’s continued delivery of results that matter. With over $420 million in permit valuation, more than 2,000 permits issued, and an average wait time of just three minutes, our focus remains on efficiency, responsiveness, and service excellence.

With 839 projects under construction and hundreds more advancing through review, we are actively shaping a city that supports investment, opportunity, and long-term resilience. At the same time, targeted housing initiatives and business support programs ensure that growth benefits our entire community.

Each milestone reflects a clear direction one where strategic development and quality of place define Boynton Beach today and into the future.

COMMUNITYIMPROVEMENT

CDBGGrants

$518,962 $30,848

The City receives an annual allocation of $518,962 from the U S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), of which $30,848 has been expended to date Expenditures to date include reimbursement payments to four Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) subrecipients Sea Turt entures, Inc ; Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc ding South Florida, Inc.; and Pathways to Prosperity, Inc. as well as funding for a Housing Rehabilitation Program project Case No. 2-25-004.

The City has received a total of $1,073,045 in State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funding from the State of Florida, administered through the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, of which $1,002,915 has been expended to date During the last quarter, $254,662 29 was expended to support nine Housing Rehabilitation Program projects.

Grand Openings

Ribbon cuttings this quarter welcomed several new businesses to the community. PharmX Health One, and Field of Greens expanded local wellness options, while Vicky Bakery added a popular South Florida favorite to the City’s culinary scene. The Titanic Exhibition introduced a unique cultural attraction, and AVIV Jiu Jitsu, and Florida Tackle enhanced recreation and specialty retail offerings Together, these openings highlight continued business confidence in Boynton Beach and support a vibrant,diverse local economy

Programs and Events

This quarter’s One Business Over Brews event, held at A'lu Mexican Cuisine, brought local businesses together to network, highlight the host venue, and foster community collaboration.

Request for FLUM Amendment, Rezoning, Variance, and Site Plan approval to expand Sara Sims Memorial Cemetery, adding 116 child plots and 717 adult plots, along with landscaping, a funeral procession area, and relocation of the memorial monument plaque and flagpole

The Hammock at Boynton Beach Address: 3045 N. Federal Highway

Request for annexation, FLUM Amendment, rezoning, Master Plan, and Site Plan for a 10-unit townhome development with a pool, parking, and site improvements

The Hanover at Boynton Beach Address: 515 S. Federal Highway

Rezoning from Commercial (LRC) to Mixed-Use High (MXH) to allow an eight-story development with 399 residential units, 13,125 square feet of commercial space, and approximately 20,000 square feet of public open space, featuring a density of 79.32 units per acre and a maximum height of 90.2 feet, oriented toward the SE 4th Street greenway.

Includes median installation, pedestrian improvements + new crosswalks, and a proposed roundabout

W. Ocean Ave. Streetlight Improvements

Installation of 50 new streetlights Construction in progress, to be completed by the end of April.

S.E. 1 Street st Milling & Resurfacing

Construction began in March, anticipated to be completed in first quarter of 2027

Design contract approved by City Commission on March 23 Includes sanitary sewer and roadway rehabilitation, water main replacement, and drainage improvements.
