POLICE

The Boynton Beach Police Department plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and confidence that allow residents and businesses to flourish. In 2025, officers responded to 96,721 calls for service, while proactive policing strategies contributed to a 16% overall reduction in crime, including an 18% reduction in property crime, a 4% reduction in violent crime, and a 41% reduction in shootings.

The department also achieved Excelsior Accreditation from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, recognizing the highest standards of professionalism and accountability. Alongside enforcement, community engagement initiatives such as Shop with a Cop, PAL Boxing, Cookout with a Cop, and neighborhood events continue strengthening trust between officers and the community they serve.

Together, these efforts reflect a department committed not only to enforcement, but to prevention, partnership, and long-term community safety.

FIRE RESCUE

Boynton Beach Fire Rescue stands ready to serve a city that continues to grow and evolve. Operating from five fully staffed stations, the department responds to more than 17,000 calls for service annually, delivering advanced fire protection and emergency medical care across the community. With an average response time of 4 minutes and 50 seconds, faster than regional and national benchmarks, the department remains prepared to meet the demands of a thriving city.

Supported by 160 firefighter-paramedics, Boynton Beach Fire Rescue combines specialized training, advanced rescue capabilities, and proactive fire prevention efforts—including over 12,000 fire inspections and nearly 3,800 construction plan reviews each year—to ensure that safety keeps pace with development. As Fire Chief noted, “Boynton Beach Fire Rescue is prepared to meet the needs of a thriving, growing, and robust city.”

Economic development in Boynton Beach is measured by outcomes. In 2025, we advanced business growth, invested in entrepreneurship, and expanded workforce opportunity — aligning strategy with execution at every level. Supporting 194 businesses through structured education, mentorship, and targeted assistance was foundational, but our work extends beyond business support. We are cultivating an environment where businesses expand, innovation takes root, and residents can pursue new economic pathways.

Through strategic partnerships and intentional investment, the City continues strengthening the foundation for long-term economic resilience. Programs such as the Entrepreneurship Academy, EDGE workforce training, and business mentorship expand opportunity across the business lifecycle. More than 300 residents connected with employers at the Summer Job Fair, while the second annual Small Business Summit continued to grow as a regional gathering point for entrepreneurs and business leaders across Palm Beach County—reinforcing an ecosystem where businesses grow and residents advance together.
