Celebrating Ann Genosky's Retirement A Note from Ann

It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement. I have met so many wonderful people over the 38 plus years of my career here.

Mary Ann Young Center 9150 Central Avenue NE Blaine MN 55434

I started at the senior center in April of 1987. I had the great honor to work with Mary Ann Young who the building is named after. She instilled in me a passion and love for the older population. This job was to be my stepping stone to getting more experience and moving on. However, days turned into months and months into years. No two days were alike, and it didn’t take me long to figure out that I was right where I was meant to be. After Mary Ann Young passed away, I worked to continue her vision to make this one of the best senior centers in the area. She shared her knowledge and compassion for each individual that walked through the doors. I am so proud of all the good programs, activities and events that take place at MAYC. More importantly, I am so proud and blessed to know each of you. I hope I leave you with as much gratitude as you have brought to my life.
