This year four seats will be up for election on the Blaine City Council. One seat for each council ward will be on the ballot along with the mayor’s seat. All interested candidates can file for one of the available seats by visiting Blaine City Hall during regular business hours between May 21-June 4. Qualifications for office: •

Be at least 21 years of age upon assuming office

Resident of the council ward(councilmember) or City(mayor) for at least 30 days before the general election

Eligible to vote in Minnesota

Not filed for the same or any other office in the upcoming primary or general election Additional information about filing for office is available at BlaineMN.gov/Elections.

Water Service Line Inventory Survey

Thank you to the over 3,000 homeowners who have completed the water service line survey. The City needs to complete the inventory by August. Complete the Water Service Line Inventory Survey Blaine homeowners need to complete the water service line survey by visiting BlaineMN.gov/ WaterServiceLineSurvey or by scanning the QR code. The survey will ask for contact information, pipe information, and a photo of the service line where it meets the water meter. The meter is usually found in the basement utility room, crawl space, or near an exterior tap. Please complete the survey as soon as possible. If you need assistance completing the survey, please contact the Public Works Department at 763-785-6165 or visit BlaineMN.gov/WaterServiceLineInventory.
