From the renowned Target USA Cup to the thrilling 3M Open, and the National Veterans Tournament, Blaine hosted a diverse range of athletic events that cater to various interests and backgrounds.

Kicking off the summer was the Target USA Cup, one of the largest youth soccer tournaments in North America. This year, over 1,150 teams participated, drawing in approximately 20,000 visitors per day to the area. The excitement filled the fields and local venues, creating a buzz that resonated throughout Blaine, with the event generating an impressive economic impact of approximately $36 million.

3M Open Next on the agenda was the prestigious 3M Open, which attracted golf enthusiasts from near and far. Held at the TPC Twin Cities, the tournament welcomed over 100,000 spectators over its duration. The event not only showcased elite golfing talent but also highlighted Blaine’s natural beauty and recreational offerings. Local businesses saw a significant boost, with the economic impact estimated at around $50 million, showcasing the importance of such events in promoting tourism and supporting the local economy.

National Veterans Tournament This summer also marked a historic milestone for Blaine with the introduction of the National Veterans Tournament. This tournament celebrated soccer heritage, bringing together former professional and amateur players over the age of 35.
