Construction Update
Pardon our dust — we are making magic happen. In 2026, we have several exciting projects underway within our parks. For more details, please visit our website at AmericanCanyon.gov/ConstructionUpdates.
Welcome to another exciting edition of the City of American Canyon Parks and Recreation Guide. We are thrilled to bring you a variety of programs, events and activities designed to help you stay active, learn something new and connect with your community. Whether you're spending time with family, trying a new hobby or meeting new neighbors, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
As summer winds down, join us for S'mores & Meteors on Saturday, August 8, at Wetlands Edge Park. Bring your family for an evening of campfires, stargazing and community fun before the new school year begins.
This fall, we invite you to enjoy our community events. On Friday, October 2, bring your furry family members to BarktoberFest at Northampton Park for an afternoon designed just for them. Then, continue the fun at our annual Pool Pumpkin Patch & Splash on Saturday, October 3, where you can enjoy a unique fall tradition that combines swimming with pumpkin picking.
On Wednesday, November 11, at 11 a.m., we hope you will join us for our annual Veterans Day Ceremony as we come together to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation.
Beyond programs and events, we encourage residents to explore the many ways to get involved through volunteer opportunities. You can play an important role in helping us build a vibrant, welcoming community, and we are grateful for those who share their time and talents to support our parks, events and programs.
Our programs do more than provide activities, they help foster community connections, promote wellness, and create spaces where people of all ages can thrive. On behalf of the City of American Canyon, thank you for being part of our community. We look forward to seeing you in our parks, facilities and programs throughout the months ahead.
With warm (pumpkin-spiced) regards,
Alexandra Ikeda Deputy City Manager
