The City of Amarillo recently adopted the 2021 Parks & Recreation Master Plan to aid in guiding future improvements to parks, trails, recreation facilities, and programs over the next 10 years. As a part of the planning process, MIG, Inc., (MIG) conducted a Prioritization Challenge in July of 2021. The purpose of the survey was to collect input on community priorities for investing in Amarillo’s park system. The Parks and Recreation Department conducted an online survey from July 1 to July 25, 2021. A total of 6904 people responded. Amarillo City Council formally adopted the Park Master Plan on September 28th, 2021.
