LJHS Newsletter Vol.6

Page 1

I hope everyone had a fun spring break.

We have our second dual meet this week as well as it being our first away dual meet at Mission Bay high school. This campus is notorious for bad parking even during school hours so I would recommend getting there as early as possible.

Arecurring issue we have had lately is our athletes forget their uniforms. Not completely, but if they are on a relay they have the wrong shorts or top. Please help them by making sure it is clean and ready to go at all times. Coach Ben tries to have extra uniforms at every meet but that should not be what we rely on as we do not have a ton of extra uniforms in our stock.Thank you!

We also have the famousArcadia Invitational this weekend!

If you have athletes that are going this weekend, please talk to your event coaches about when you should be there and for how long so everyone can have everything ready and set to compete!

Hello everyone,

This week I want to introduce something to you all. I am crediting this to my day job with Exos as one of my co-workers sends out a monthly newsletter for our internal team and attaches some education such as podcast episodes regarding nutrition and articles for training.

As this newsletter is shared to parents and guardians of the track athletes for La Jolla High School, I will be attaching a couple of items regarding helpful information for your runners/jumpers throwers.

If you would like to see something specific, please let me know!

● This is an article on how and why foam rolling helpful for shin splints Read Me!

● Apodcast episode on how salt is used for performance and recovery, it is long but informative! Watch me!
