SREEKANTAN, FOUNDER OF RUDHRATHEERTHA FILMS, BEGAN LIFE AS A DAILY WAGE LABORER. AT 30, HE MOVED TO BANGALORE SEEKING BETTER PROSPECTS. BY CHANCE, HE LANDED AT A FILM SHOOT—HIS FIRST CLOSE LOOK AT CINEMA BEYOND THE SCREEN. CURIOUS ABOUT THE CRAFT, HE JOINED AS A JUNIOR ARTIST AND STEADILY BUILT EXPERIENCE, WORKING IN NEARLY 150 FILMS AS BOTH AN ON-SCREEN PERFORMER AND A BEHIND-THE-SCENES TECHNICIAN. OVER TIME, HE BEGAN MAKING SMALL PRODUCTION INVESTMENTS AND GREW DEEPLY INVOLVED IN FILMMAKING.
IN 1989, DRAWING ON YEARS OF HANDS-ON LEARNING, HE LAUNCHED RUDHRATHEERTHA FILMS, FOCUSING ON PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION. REMEMBERING HIS HUMBLE BEGINNINGS, HE COMMITTED TO OPENING DOORS FOR NEWCOMERS EAGER TO PROVE THEIR TALENT. INSPIRED BY HIS FATHER’S JOURNEY, SREERAG TRAINED AT MUMBAI FILM CITY AND STARTED AS A CO-PRODUCER. WITH EXPERIENCE AND VISION, HE FOUNDED CINEMA KAMPANY IN 2026.
