CDC APPROVED UV-C LIGHT FOR DECONTAMINATING A WIDE VARIETY OF SURFACES QUICKLY AND SAFELY UV-C LEDs are a scientifically proven method of killing harmful viruses and bacteria. The CDC has approved UV-C Light as one of the 3 methods recommended to decontaminate COVID-19. The LIND Apollo UV-C LED light will be following the requirements of the University of Nebraska protocol, which establishes a standard method for decontaminating surfaces. Exposure to ultraviolet light reduces the ability of some viruses to survive. It is important to note that most UVC light, that with wavelengths between 100-280 nanometers, is eliminated in the atmosphere. Most the ultraviolet lights that produce skin cancers (UVA) and sunburn (UVB) is eliminated through modern glass layers.
