WELCOME TO THE CIF-SS TEAM, ALICIA SEEVERS! LOS ALAMITOS, CA – CIF Southern Section Commissioner of Athletics Mike West announced today that Orange High School Athletic Director Alicia Seevers has accepted the position as an Assistant Commissioner of Athletics for the CIF-SS, effective July 1, 2026. “We are excited to welcome Alicia to the CIF Southern Section leadership team,” said West. “Her experience, professionalism, and passion for education-based athletics make her an outstanding addition to our office and the member schools we serve.” Seevers has served as Director of Athletics at Orange since 2000. From 1996-2000 she served as girls varsity basketball coach for the Panthers where she also served as their certified athletic trainer starting in 1994. Seevers has served on the CIF Southern Section Executive Committee (elected as treasurer during the current school year) since 2022. Additionally, she has been the Girls Athletic Director Representative, has also served as the Orange Grove Conference President and Coordinator, Ethics in Sports Committee member (all since 2022), CIF-SS Basketball Advisory Committee Member (since 2024). (OCADA) Seevers has also been active with the Orange County Athletic Directors Association serving as a board member, new athletic director mentor, Women's Sports Conference Committee member and President (20212023). She also claimed the 2017 Norm Mackenzie Award from the California State Athletic Directors Association and the 2019 Athletic Director of the Year award from the same organization. “I am beyond honored to accept the opportunity to become a part of the CIF-SS office,” stated Seevers. “Education-based athletics is an integral part of the high school experience and the opportunity to take on a role that allows me to advance this mission, while serving an entire section of student athletes, athletic directors, and administrators, is a dream come true.” Seevers earned a bachelor’s degree in Science in Movement/Exercise Science from Chapman University in 1995 and a master’s degree from California Coast University in Education in 2011. Severs (52) is married to wife Brittney and they have five children (Kendall, Kiley, Bella, Kaden, and Jace).
