welcome October 5, 2026 Welcome to the 2026 CIF Southern Section Athletic Administrators Summit Presented by eTeamSponsor! We are excited to be back at the Riverside Convention Center with some excellent speakers and professional development opportunities for the Principals, Presidents, Superintendents, Athletic Directors, and Athletic Trainers of the Southern Section. Our goal is to present timely topics from experts in their field to support our member schools in the advancement of their athletic programs. I would like to personally thank eTeamSponsor for their numerous years of support for this event and all those who took the time to be with us today. Please take advantage of the breakfast hosted by Playon as well as the lunch we will provide before you leave today. A special thank you to the high school groups who helped kick off the day, the J.W. North High School Band - Blue Star Regiment, the cheerleading teams from Arlington and Ramona High School, Poly High School’s choir, and the JROTC program from Martin Luther King High School! Additionally, I would like to thank HOAG Orthopedic Institute for sponsoring the Athletic Trainer's Track of educational sessions today, to all the vendors who support the Summit, to the Citrus Belt Area Athletic Directors who assist us with check-in, and especially to the CIF Southern Section Staff for their genuine dedication and support of this event. keynote speaker What Drives Winning:
How to build an environment where people can do their best work Brett Ledbetter is a performance consultant, author and speaker. His work focuses on character development, priority alignment, team dynamics, behavior management, question-based leadership and self-awareness. He’s authored six books: What Drives Winning, What’s Really Important, What Drives Winning Teams and What Drives Winning Environments and QuestionBased Leadership. All five books are currently being taught as masters-level courses at the University of Florida, and the sixth book 365 Questions was released this fall. Brett has also delivered three TEDx talks: What Drives Winning, Building Your Inner Coach and How to Stop Comparing and Start Competing. He co-founded the What Drives Winning conference with Hall-of-Fame coach Becky Burleigh, producing ten conference events with top minds in sport and leadership. Brett and Becky also co-teach the WDW classes at the University of Florida. Brett currently works with multiple Division 1 athletic departments that hire him as a thinking partner for athletic directors, coaches, and athletes. He also applies his high-performance training with NBA and NFL teams/athletes, educators, military personnel, and corporate sectors.
