Invitación al Seminario Departamental del día martes 10 de noviembre en el Aula Virtual del CICATA, Querétaro, con la Conferencia “Sustainability in Earth and Space” a cargo de Jack Reid, Media Lab, MIT.
This talk will be an overview of Space Enabled's research philosophy, methods, and major projects. These projects include the centrifugal casting of wax-based rocket fuels in microgravity, the design of a space sustainability rating to incentive pro-social behavior in satellite operators, the use of earth observation to support community management of invasive plants and traditional fishing practices in west Africa, an exploration of the potential use of geospatial services for maintaining cultural knowledge of indigenous groups, EO-informed multidisciplinary modeling to support coronavirus response, among others. Through these projects we hope to convey Space Enabled's desire to cultivate sustainability and antiracism in our research endeavors.
