Holding Onto Hope

Howdoyoucreateamomentofjoy

whentheworldaroundyoufeelsheavy?

A simple but warm meal shared at a kitchen table

A home-made card. Laughter that breaks through exhaustion. A small gift passed quietly between siblings. Even when life is difficult, families work hard to create these moments. They remind children of joy. They remind parents of hope. They remind all of us that light can still make its way in.

At Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS), we meet families in these moments, right where real life happens. In homes where parents are trying to make things feel normal. In schools where children find routine and safety. In neighborhoods where support is often hard to find. This is where unexpected gifts matter most, because they arrive in the spaces children know best and change what they believe is possible

It works.

Children in our Community Partnership Schools™ are graduating at significantly higher rates, and parents in our early childhood programs report stronger skills and more stability at home.

When you give to CHS, you join a statewide movement with a local heartbeat You help create the moments that matter You help families hold onto joy, possibility, and the promise that their children can grow, learn, and earn without limits.

When we give the unexpected, we create outcomes beyond imagination.

I want more people to have that aha! moment of ‘I didn’t realize CHS did that.’ I want them to get involved in the transformation
in any small or big way they can.

With your support, families across Florida will break cycles of generational poverty and trauma. Together, we become the difference. Give the gift of unexpected clarity

I had made my mind up that I was going to be successful, e v e n a s a t e e n m o m CHS gave me that chance. Believing in me when I lacked any real support system is hands down one of the reasons I made it. I am a first generation college graduate, a Registered Nurse, Healthy Start Care Coordinator and working toward my Master’s in Public Health with an emphasis in Maternal/Child Health. My son is a successful business owner and is married with three children. He has flourished.

I am forever grateful for this program and the foundation it helped me build.

GivingtoCHS

“The families served by CHS face extreme challenges. CHS leverages its partnerships in our community to remove barriers to education and employment to create healthy and safe living environments for children and their families.
