eet Chatum Taylor, a Lansing native and graduate of Everett High School. Chatum resides in Lansing, Michigan. Though her journey as a single mother has not been easy, it has fostered the resilience and fortitude that has shaped her into both an effective career woman and a dedicated community servant. Chatum graduated from Lansing Community College, (LCC) and later earned her Bachelor's Degree in Management from the

University of Phoenix—all while raising her daughter and working full-time at what was then State Employees Credit Union, now Lake Trust Credit Union. Chatum found her niche in financial services starting as a teller, and quickly advancing to Branch Manager at Capital Area School Employees (CASE) Credit Union. During her six years managing two branches-one of which was in the heart of the LCC campus within the Gannon Building-she took pride in making a difference in the lives of youth and prospective students.
