Weareactivelylookingforpeopletoteachbasketball,volleyball, andsoccer,primarilyforchildren,butsomeforadults. Thisisaself-employedcontractorposition,typicallyforabout2 hoursaweekatacompetitiverate.

AdultLanesandLeisure:Availableforadultstoswimlaps,exercise,waterwalk,hot tub,andenjoythefacilityattheirleisure.Thisrunsduringalloperationalhours.The mainpoolandleisurepoolarebothavailablewiththeexceptionoftheleisurepool beingunavailableduringSwimLessons.

FamilySwim:Atimesetasideforfamilieswithyoungchildrentoenjoythewarmand shallowwaterofthewavepoolwithoutthecrowds.Childrenmustbeaccompanied byaparentorguardianovertheageof16years.Waves&slideareleftoff.

PublicSwim:Allfacilitieswillbeopenincludingthemainpool,leisurepool,hottub, steamroom,andsauna.Otherwaterfeatureswillbeopenandrunningperiodically throughouttheswimaswell,includingthebubblepit,raindrop,wavesandslide.

SwimLessons:Organizedinstructionalprogramsandlessonsarebeingprovided. Priorityforspacewillbegiventoourinstructionalprogramsthereforemostofthe facilityisnotaccessibleforpublicuse.Thereisnoaccesstotheleisurepool,and muchofthelanepoolwillbeoccupiedaswell.Waves&slideareleftoff.

LunchtimeLaps:comeenjoyourmainswimmingpoolforanhourdedicatedtolane swimming.Additionallaneswillbeaddedtoaccomodateincreasedtraffic,ensuring plentyofspaceforswimmersofallpaces!Whetheryou'relookingforaquickworkout orarefreshingbreak,Lunchtimelapsistheperfectwaytoenergizeyourafternoon. Swimmer3

Thesejuniorswimmerswilldiveanddoin-waterfrontsomersaultsandhandstands.They'll workon15moffrontcrawl,backcrawland10mofwhipkick.Flutterkickintervaltraining increasesto4x15m.

Swimmer4

Theseintermediateswimmerswillswim5munderwaterandlengthsoffront,backcrawl, whipkick,andbreaststrokearmswithbreathing.Theirnewbagoftricksincludesthe completionoftheCanadianSwimtoSurvive®Standard.They'llcapitalloffwithfrontcrawl sprintsover25mand4x25mfrontorbackcrawlintervaltraining

Swimmer5

Theseswimmerswillmastershallowdives,cannonballentries,eggbeaterkicks,andinwaterbackwardsomersaults.They'llrefinetheirfrontandbackcrawlover50mswimsof each,andbreaststrokeover25m.Thenthey'llpickupthepacein25msprintsandtwo intervaltrainingbouts:4x50mfrontorbackcrawl;and4x15mbreaststroke.

Swimmer6

Theseadvancedswimmerswillrisetothechallengeofsophisticatedaquaticskills includingstrideentries,compactjumpsandlifesavingkickslikeeggbeaterandscissorkick. They'lldevelopstrengthandpowerinhead-upbreaststrokesprintsover25m.They'lleasily swimlengthsoffrontcrawl,backcrawl,andbreaststroke,andthey'llcomplainaboutthe 300mworkout.

Age:8Y-12Y

Swimmerswillcontinuetodeveloptheirswimmerskillswhileincreasingfocusonfirstaid andlifesavingskills.Eachlevelisbrokenintothreecategories.H2Oproficiency.FirstAidand RecognitionandRescueSwimmerswillreceiveapostertotracktheirprogressineach categorywithcompletionstickersforeachandabadgeforcompletinganentirelevel. ThesecoursesbetterprepareswimmersfortheBronzelevelcoursesaswell.

JuniorLifeguard

Age:9Y–12Y

*MustHaveCompletedSwimmer6

Candidatesshouldmeettheswimtosurvivestandard:rollintodeepwater,treadwaterfor1 minute,andswimatleast50meters

CanadianSwimPatroltrainingprovidesaheadstartfortheBronzeAwardsneededto becomeacertifiedNationalLifeguard.

Kidswillhavefuninaclubatmospherefocusingonwaterproficiency,firstaid,recognition, selfrescueandrescueofothers.

You'llworktowardsa10-15mswimonyourfrontandback.You'lldojumpentriesfromthe sideandrecoveranobjectfromthebottominchest-deepwater.Improveyourfitnessand yourflutterkickwith4x9-12mintervaltraining

Adult2

Kickitupanotchworkingontwointervaltrainingworkoutsof4x25mkickingandfrontor backcrawl.You'llbeabletoperformdiveentriesanddemonstratebreaststrokearmsand breathingover10-15m.You'llbesupportingyourselfatthesurfacefor1-2minutes,and showingoffyourhandstandsinshallowwater.

Adult3

Nosweat(oratleastnoneanyonecansee).You'lllearneggbeater,strideentriesand compactjumps.You'llbedoinga300mworkoutandsprinting25-50m.You'llmasteryour frontcrawl,backcrawlandbreaststroke.
