Foster Care Prayer Liturgy
Prayer is where we begin. The needs of children and families are vast, and seeing these needs every day moves us to action. But our actions are utterly insufficient unless God multiplies them. Like the loaves and fish, we bring what little we have and trust Him to do what we cannot. Developed by the More Than Enough Community National Working Group on Prayer, this guide provides a simple framework to anchor our shared efforts in consistent, unified prayer. Adapt these practices to your local context, gather others, and ask God to do what only He can do.
Foster Care Prayer Liturgy
PURPOSE The Foster Care Prayer Liturgy provides a structured, rhythm-based framework for those in the Body of Christ who find the depth and beauty of communal liturgical tradition particularly meaningful. This liturgical prayer can be used in a variety of settings: worship services, small groups, support groups, local foster care network gatherings, prayer vigils and online prayer gatherings.

People: Set the lonely in families, O God.
Prayers for Biological Families Leader: Compassionate God, we lift up families longing for restoration. People: Surround them with mercy and provide the support they need to be reunited. Leader: Strengthen what is broken and make a way for healing. People: Lord, restore what has been torn apart.
Prayers for Foster, Kinship, and Adoptive Families Leader: Faithful God, we thank You for those who open their homes. People: Sustain them and remind them they do not walk alone. Leader: Surround them with churches and communities that carry the load together.
