Year In Review Christendom welcomed 554 students to campus this semester, with 387 returning students, 159 freshmen, and 8 transfers.
Spirit Week was capped off with the annual East v West football game in which the East came out victorious!

Dr. Harne, having completed a great first year with the college, gave his presidential address to the student body during lunch. 2
On Halloween, “Play the Changes” played a concert for the event.
For this year’s fall play, students performed THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST.
Christmas at Christendom, with keynote speaker Fr. Gregory Pine, was a huge success.

December
In late November, Mega Shield set a record number of participants in gathering to pray for the unborn with over 250 students, faculty, and staff in attendance.
Christmas Formal was moved back to campus this year, and SAC did a fantastic job in set up and takedown for the event. 3

Construction on the new Madonna Hall faulty offices began this month.
Mr. Brown hosted many events this semester, including this country contra dance that he co-hosted with Dr. Cuddeback in Old Chapel Hall.

February
The graves of founders Dr. Carroll and Dr. Burns were moved from behind Regina Coeli Hall to next to the Christ the King Chapel. A Requiem Mass was said in remembrance of them.
The new Ven. Jerome Lejeune Hall Science Lab was finished this semester. It was blessed by the college chaplain and opened for classes this semester.
This year’s spring musical was JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.

Mystery Dinner Theater was a huge success this year, raising over 10,000 dollars for the senior gift. “Humphries’ Travel Agency: Let Us Help You Plan Your Next Murder” was a hit.

Students joined visistors to witness the swinging of the botafumeiro during Vespers this spring.

Softball Softball returned for its first season back after a hiatus under coaches Jim Bell, Annie Chavez, and Liz Speer. The team worked hard and will continue to build the foundation for the future while gaining valuable experience throughout the season.
Cross Country
Under coaches Sydney Binette and Dan Binette, the men’s and women’s cross country teams finished third at the USCAA National Championships. Alex Girata and Robert Wright placed 12th and 13th in 83 the men’s race to earn USCAA Second Team All-American honors.

The Blue Mantle the meaning behind the name
Christendom College was founded under the patronage of Our Lady of Fatima in 1977, and she has helped the college grow and flourish in the years since. When the Christendom College Yearbook was first established in the 1980s, it took on the name The Blue Mantle in honor of Our Lady. The Yearbook would retain that name for a number of years, before the name changed simply to “Christendom College Yearbook” —a name that would stick through the 2012-13 academic year. When the yearbook returned in the 2015-16 academic year, it was a no-brainer for staff to bring back the original name, as a tribute to both the college’s first yearbook staff and to the college’s patroness. 108
