Drive to Mysore

After breakfast at the hotel check-out from Oakwood Premier Prestige. Drive to Mysore in a luxury Volvo bus (approx. 90 miles/ 3 hours & 30 minutes) en-route drive by the majestic Vidhana Soudha which houses the state legislature of Karnataka, High Court, National Gallery of Modern Art that mainly comprises of paintings, sculptures, graphic prints and examples of early photography in India which showcased the historical development of modern art in India from the 18 century till present times. Stop at the Bull Temple to see the impressive statue of the Nandi Bull, consistently covered with layers of butter and garlands of flowers. We will arrange boxed lunch to be served on the bus. Mysore was the political capital of the Wodeyar dynasty which ruled the state of Karnataka for some 150 years till the independence of the country from the British. These kings were great patrons of art and culture and Mysore was the cultural capital of the south under the rule of the Wodeyars. It is often called the Jewel of Karnataka - its arts, culture, buildings, festivals, gardens and parks being the quintessence of the state’s heritage. Visit the magnificent Mysore Palace. A former residence of the Wodeyar rulers, the palace is a splendid structure in Indo-Saracenic style with beautiful halls of public & private audience and private chambers of the royal family. Fly to Raipur

Half day tour of Old Delhi, later drive to Agra

Breakfast at the hotel. Delhi: The city consists of two parts - Old & New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of Muslim India between 17th and 19th century and has many mosques, monuments and forts. New Delhi, the imperial city was created by the British as the capital of India. In 1911, Edwin Lutyens, the most renowned English architect of the day, was chosen to design New Delhi which flaunts a surprising number of impressive monuments related to its conquests by the Mughals, Turks, Persians and ultimately the British. This morning explore Old Delhi, visiting the Jama Masjid, the royal mosque built by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in 1656. It is one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world and is constructed in red sandstone and white marble. The main prayer hall has a seating capacity of more than 20,000 worshippers. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk, the spine of Old Delhi. Jahanara Begum, the daughter of Shah Jahan designed this commercial place in 1648. Drive past Red fort, built in red sand stone by Shah Jahan in 1648, this magnificent monument is laid out along the river Yamuna as an irregular octagon. Continue to Humayun’s Tomb, the first great example of Mughal architecture in India, it developed to become the hallmark of the Mughal Dynasty. The squat building of white marble and red sandstone, with a dome and high arched entrances, surrounded by formal gardens, is generally regarded as a prototype of the famed Taj Mahal of Agra. Humayun’s wife is buried in the red-and-white sandstone, black-and yellow marble tomb. Today’s lunch will be arranged at The Lodi restaurant, European cuisine. Later drive to Agra (approx. 124 miles/ 3 hours & 30 minutes). Arrive in Aga and check-in at ITC Mughal. Drive to Delhi International Airport

Agra: Two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and Shah Jahan, transformed the little village of Agra into a befitting second capital of the Mughal Empire - giving it the name Dar-ul-Khilafat (seat of the Emperor). Today, a visitor to Agra is caught up in a world of contrasting edifices of red sandstone and white marble, narrow lanes and quaint buggies, and that irresistible charm that this favorite city of the Mughals still retains. It is not surprising, that modern Agra still reflects its Mughal heritage most conspicuously. Visit Taj Mahal at sunrise. Return to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast visit Agra Fort. An imposing structure with walls of red sandstone, almost two miles long and contains palaces, audience halls and mosques. The fort presents a good sampling of Islamic and Hindu architectural styles. It was built by the third Mughal Emperor, Akbar. Subsequent additions were made to the fort by his son Jahangir and grandson Shahjahan. Later drive to Delhi (approx. 134miles/ approx. 4 hours). Payment Details & Cancellation Policy -

Payment details  In order to secure air & hotels, it is imperative we require 25% deposit by 15 September 2017. Balance payment to be paid by 16 December 2017.

Hotel Cancellation policy  Cancellation received 60 to 46 days prior to departure will be subject to a cancellation charge of 25% of the tour price.  Cancellation received 45 to 30 days prior to departure will be subject to a cancellation charge of 50%of the tour price.  Cancellation received 29 or less days prior to departure will be subject to forfeiture of the entire tour price.

Air Cancellation policy – After receiving initial deposit we will issue air ticket. Once tickets have been issued in case of any cancellation or date change or name change there would be a cancellation charge of USD 50 per sector. For issuing air ticket we require scan copy of passport.
