She Scheduled 14 Abortion Appointments... The Text that Saved a Life Kiara* is a 36 year old client who came to us in January for pregnancy testing and an ultrasound. She already had three children and had two recent late-term miscarriages, leaving her devastated. Upon receiving her positive results for this pregnancy, she feared the possibility of having another miscarriage and the heartache it entailed before, so she immediately decided to have an abortion to avoid disappointment. We educated her about her options during her office visit and she left encouraged but still undecided. We continued to reach out to her via phone calls and texts throughout the subsequent months to give her support and offer help, but we heard nothing back. In June, she finally replied to one of our texts and was so very excited to give us an update! She began to tell us that she had actually scheduled FOURTEEN appointments at different abortion facilities but each time something prevented her from going through with it. Finally, at what would be her last appointment attempt, she had driven all the way up to North Jersey, sat in the abortion clinic, had bloodwork taken, and then was told that she had to come back. In that moment, she received a text from us asking how she was doing! “I was like WOW, what are the chances of that?” Talk about God’s perfect timing! She said she prayed and prayed and believed that our text was confirmation that she was clearly getting an answer: that she should not go through with an abortion. Now Kiara and her family could not be more excited about her healthy little baby boy who is due to be added to her family on September 16th. “I cannot thank you enough for just being there to talk to me. My family and I are so excited. Thank you for everything.”
Our continued support and encouragement allowed Kiara to turn from the fear of pain and instead choose hope and life. We are eager to equip clients like Kiara with resources and information about their specific needs throughout their pregnancy, and offer a free Life Mentor Annual Fundraising Gala Program with the opportunity for clients to earn-as-you-learn at each session with their Life October 26th at 7pm Mentor. Support and resources such as these encourage women to choose life, knowing that we Ladies and Client Bible Study will be right there beside them supporting them through the journey. Every other Tuesday starting July 11th at 11am

Invitations to the dinner will primarily be given through table hosts. Please contact our office if you are interested in volunteering as a table host. Hosts will not be financially responsible to purchase tables, but will be expected to invite guests interested in partnering with the ministry financially. Choices of the Heart’s Annual Fundraising Galas are the highlight of each year, and this year is no exception as we will welcome Mike Huckabee as the keynote speaker at this year’s event on Thursday, October 26th.

We accept cars (running or not), jewelry, clothing of all types and sizes, holiday decorations, and more. As a celebration of “Nurses Week” this spring, Laurie Milliken, one of our long time donors and current board member at Choices, was 1 of the 3 nurses selected out of more than 3,000 nominations nation-wide for the “Thank You Nurses” award from Pampers Swaddlers.
