In 2025, Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego united under one nonprofit health system: Rady Children’s Health. Together, we are building healthier futures for every child who depends on us.
Building on a combined legacy of more than 70 years of clinical excellence, our new pediatric enterprise—Rady Children’s Health—is dedicated to advancing children’s health through leading-edge research, innovative treatments, and compassionate care. We remain deeply committed to serving our local communities, while thoughtfully expanding what is possible through this enhanced relationship.
What This Means for Children and Families
Care remains local, personal, and unchanged.
Patients and families in Orange County and San Diego will continue receiving care from the same trusted medical providers they know. Hospitals
maintain separate medical staffs and local governing boards, while onsite leadership continues to manage daily operations.
The same high-quality, personalized care continues, now supported by expanded resources and shared expertise across a unified pediatric health system.

This step builds on more than a decade of collaboration, including initiatives such as Project Baby Bear, a rapid whole genome sequencing program that helps diagnose infants with rare diseases, and the creation of a shared health plan serving children.
