The Virginia Youth Soccer Association has announced the appointment of Serkan Orsan as its new Executive Director, effective February 16, 2026 Orsan was selected following a nationwide search after longtime Executive Director Don Rawson departed to join the Soccer Growth Strategy Group at the United States Soccer Federation.

Orsan brings more than 20 years of experience in soccer leadership and business development He most recently served as Executive Director of Kings Hammer Murfreesboro, overseeing a club of more than 2,800 players, and later as Vice President of Sponsorships and Corporate Affairs, where he focused on expanding corporate partnerships and community engagement.

“Serkan brings an outstanding combination of soccer expertise, strategic leadership, and a proven commitment to community growth,” said VYSA President Bill Phillips VYSA also extends its sincere thanks to Don Rawson for his years of innovative leadership and service to soccer in Virginia, and looks forward to the future under Orsan’s direction.
