Celebrating Our Graduates: A Proud Moment for ChildVision

This summer, we’re incredibly proud to share that ten of our students are graduating from ChildVision! This is a milestone that marks not only the end of one chapter but the beginning of so many exciting new journeys.

Each of these young people has overcome challenges, discovered their strengths, and grown in confidence, independence, and purpose. We are so proud of how far they’ve come

At ChildVision, we believe every student deserves the chance to thrive, grow, and feel valued for who they are. These ten graduates are shining examples of what’s possible when students are given the right tools, encouragement, and opportunities to succeed

Graduation is always a bittersweet time We’re sad to see them go, but so excited for what lies ahead Our staff, families, and wider community come together to cheer them on, celebrate their achievements, and remind them: they’ll always be part of the ChildVision family

To our graduates: thank you for inspiring us We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way

LOW VISION

Supporting Children with Vision Impairment A Lifeline for Families in Dublin and Cork

At ChildVision, our Vision Service is here for children with vision impairments and their families from birth all the way through to 18 years of age. Whether based in Dublin or Cork, we walk alongside families during every stage of their journey, offering expert, compassionate support to help each child thrive in daily life.

We work directly with children and their parents to understand how each child uses their vision in real-world settings: at home, at school, or at play. For younger children, this might mean helping to stimulate visual development. For older children, we provide personalised strategies to support learning, independence, and confidence in everyday tasks

Our support is tailored for every child, including those with complex additional needs. Using specialist tools like eye gaze technology and touchscreen devices, we help children engage, communicate, and explore the world in ways that suit them best.

We also collaborate closely with Children’s Disability Network Teams, hospitals, and other services, sharing insights and offering training to ensure each child’s visual needs are fully understood and supported.

A particular focus of our work is supporting children with Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI) a neurological vision condition that affects how the brain processes visual information. These conditions can be subtle and complex, which is why our assessments are always tailored to each child’s unique strengths and challenges

This service is a lifeline for so many families. But it’s only possible because of the generosity of supporters like you. Your donations help us continue this vital work — providing children with the tools, skills and confidence to see their world more clearly, and giving families the expert guidance they can rely on.

Thank you for making this possible.

Your support, whether through donations, fundraising, or advocacy, is crucial in helping us continue this work. Together, we can create a more inclusive society, where disability does not define a child’s future, but rather, their potential is fully realised.
