The wavy form originated from the movement of locomotion which represents the rapidity of a lifeguard.
The site of this project was located at Pantai Bogak, Pulau Pangkor, Perak. The site was wellknown for its beach and water activities such as snorkeling and swimming. Thus, a lifeguard watch tower plays a significant role to supervise and watch over the beach. The tower should provide unobstructed views while offerings shades for the lifeguard. ✓ Concept: Locomotion ✓ Design Principles: Repetition & Rhythm

THE LOC CENTER THE PROPOSED SITE OF THE PROJECT LOCATED AT PANTAI BOGAK, PULAU PANGKOR. A LIFEGUARD TRAINING CENTER IS IMPORTANT FOR FIRST AID PURPOSE AND ALSO A PLACE TO ACCOMMODATE OFF AND ON DUTY LIFEGUARDS. IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT FOR OFFICE PURPOSE AND A PLACE TO STORE BOATS AND EQUIPMENTS. THE IDEA CONCEPT OF FISH LOCOMOTION APPLIED ALSO INDICATES THE SMOOTH AND RAPID MOVEMENT WHEN THE LIFEGUARD SAVES THE SWIMMERS FROM DROWNING AND DANGERS.

PROJECT – PART 1 PLAZA CANOPY
TASKS Students are required to design THREE projects concurrently, one from each of the positions of civic narrative, technics and poetics. This will be a canopy design for the plaza area of the youth centre. Throughout the project, student should be able to apply the school of thoughts by referring to their chosen precedent studies.
PLAZA CANOPY – TECHNICS
The chosen canopy to develop further is the Technic canopy. As we know, plaza canopy plays an important role as a sign of welcoming. In the purpose to promote the fun environment of the youth centre, the canopy will be placed around the building, Thus, the element that I developed from the precedent study, Rolex Learning Centre, is the as below: To promote fun element and shows the fluidity. Invisible column, spacious and open plan. Opening design with technical purpose.
Besides the mechanism study of the opening design with technical purpose for the canopy was referring the The Rainbow Bridge, California.
PLAZA CANOPY – TECHNICS
PROJECT – PART 2 CYBERJAYA YOUTH CENTRE TASKS Students are required to design an accompanying Youth Centre at the same site, for which the Plaza Canopy is located at. By continuing the school of thoughts applied on Part 1of the project, the technic, poetic or civic narrative element should be engage in the youth centre as well. The youth centre should be responding with the site by analysis the data collected during the site visit.
CYBERJAYA YOUTH CENTRE - CONCEPT
Design intention The motion of dance.
School of thoughts Technic Introduction The site for the project is located beside Taman Tasik Cyberjaya. The intention of the project is to release the rigidity of Cyberjaya, and to let the users to interact and dance with the building when they enter it. By applying the technic of wind arbour, the users can experience a sensation of optical illusion when kinetic facades dance with the wind forms induced motions from both interior and exterior.

MODEL MAKING
DEGREE – STUDIO DESIGN 3A GROUP PROJECT 1 – PLACEMAKING INDIVIDUAL PROJECT 2 – PUBLIC MARKET HALL
GROUP PROJECT URBAN DESIGN PLACEMAKING TASKS Students are required to transform physical environment for some areas in the town centre and to improve the walkability in Seremban. The main activities would be to provide spaces for the public. The proposed site is located in Mukim Rasah district area which is one of the busiest places in Seremban Town.
INDIVIDUAL PROJECT PUBLIC MARKET HALL TASKS Students are required to design a public market hall building within an urban park environment. The main activities would be to provide and serve the community with the activities provided. Students are required to provide full design proposals incorporating findings from precedent study and site analysis. Site planning and design should integrate the urban park from project 1 and the proposed building as one development.
To build up the identity of Seremban which Ujong River corresponds to the creative power of time and nature.
Dynamic movement surround by unmove form. Water represents the circulation, which unmoving form represenrs the spaces.
Intention is to link up the context in order to encourage the urban circulation.
All three main context circulation are connected and the event space is the centre of circulation.
DESIGN INTENTION The concept of the market hall is derived from Sungai Ujong and the existed waterfall at the old days. The intention of the project is to promote the adventure environment for the local to discover the space by induced a connection from three directions around the site. These linkage forms a circulation path from the placamaking 1, placemaking 2 and shophouses backstreet into the market hall.
CONCEPT
The floor plan shows the form which links up all the urban circulation of the surrounding context which includes the streetway and both placemaking.

To ensure the of the building while promoting night activities, the market hall was designed with semi open spaces and open staircase.
To promote a gathering spot on the sites for the local
community especially the elderly.
