Cheltenham drivers say pothole-damaged roads are costing them hundreds in repairs and forcing motorists to dodge craters across town, as frustration grows over the condition of Gloucestershire’s highways POTHOLES remain a major concern for drivers in Cheltenham, with residents warning that deteriorating roads are costing motorists hundreds of pounds in repairs and making daily journeys increasingly difficult.
Across the town and wider Gloucestershire, drivers report navigating uneven road surfaces, deep potholes and temporary repairs that often fail to last. Many residents believe patch repairs are being used too frequently instead of longer-term resurfacing work.
Keith Bronger, a Cheltenham resident who spent more than 20 years running a travel, taxi and minibus company, said the condition of the county’s roads has declined significantly over the years. Continued on page 3
