NEW £12M CANCER CARE UNIT GIVEN GREEN LIGHT

A NEW cancer centre offering modern clinical and treatment spaces, digital consultations, a dedicated support centre and peaceful therapeutic gardens has been given the green light by Cheltenham Borough Council. More than 10,000 people have already donated to Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity's Big Space Cancer Appeal, with more than £9.8 million raised towards the estimated £12 million cost of the new build.
Planning approval has been granted for a new state-of-the-art cancer centre at Cheltenham General Hospital, bringing the project a major step closer to reality
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust chief executive Kevin McNamara said: "We are delighted to reach this significant milestone of planning approval.
