Teenagers arrested after chase Brodie Cowburn brodie@baysidenews.com.au THREE teenagers have been cautioned and two more have been released pending summons after an alleged police chase which ended in

Parkdale. Police allege that a Ford Escape wagon was stolen from a house in Chelsea at around 12.20am on 11 July. They tracked the car towards Bangholme, then onto Mordialloc and Parkdale. Police deployed stop sticks in

Parkdale, and arrested five teenagers. A 13-year-old girl from Cranbourne North, a 14-year-old girl from Carrum Downs, and a 14-yearold girl from Chelsea were released pending summons. A 14-year-old girl from Seaford and 14-year-old

girl from Bonbeach were issued cautions. The arrests were made by police officers assigned to Operation Trinity, which sees 70 additional police rostered each night to patrol roads. In a statement, Victoria Police said the operation had resulted in “1,400

arrests relating to burglaries and car thefts – with the overwhelming majority of these offenders children. A further 2300 night shift arrests have also been made for other criminal offending due to the strong police presence as part of Operation Trinity.”
