My Kuk Oif Inyonim Your attention all campers and counselors, the second month has officially begun!

Shabbos ended with a Kamtza Bar Kamtza ski t , rea l l y funny!

After a grand Shmoyonke about our camp director, championship games, distribution of awards and many camp songs, the first month people left.

Moitzei Shabbos we sat on the floor and threw corn flakes in the Shul. Oh! It was Tisha Ba’av.

All the newcomers were taught the ins and outs of camp. We all had a grand welcome to night activity, by playing normal games in an abnormal way. One night a Frenchy came to camp claiming to be a magician, we’ll call it IHE. Another night the M a sm i di m hu ng someone, buried him, and when he was finally alive, they threw him off a bridge. A great play!

Then came IHE, after much preparation, we watched our very own climb up a ladder, without falling down. They were too scared to climb down, so instead they jumped. Afterwards, we watched a video of NADDB asking people to speak to Mishy (Scratch that) Mishi. The next night we learnt a lot about Farbrengens, mice, copyrights, Chitas club and bathroom brakes. We also learnt that NADDB can’t read

English (Refer to A Tefach Hecher, Issue 1, page 2). A grand game of capture the flag was played by sixth grade. The winners were none other than White Water Rafting! After much splashes and up and downs we made it to the 6 foot rapids, which filled our rafts with wet water. We sat down to eat hot-dogs and soda, just to end off this awesome trip with an awesome stomach. This was just a small reminder of some of the things happening in the greatest camp on earth. Gut Shabbos!

Head up Did you know that when you put your head forwards, a vain in your head helps you concentrate, and when you put it backwards it helps you remember. Now please, don’t get yourself too confused, and stop with the experiments, - it’s supposed to be natural. Anyway, that is the startling finding that the Rebbe Rashab’s brother, Reb M. M. tells The Rebbe Rashab. The Rebbe Rashab answers him, that this is nothing new, the Miteler Rebbe has already written about this in one of his Ma’amarim. Reb M. M. taken by surprise, asks the Rebbe Rashab how the Miteler Rebbe knew. To which

he answers: “everything in this world is a result of how it is in higher Ruchniyusdike worlds, The Miteler Rebbe knew how it is here, because he knew how it is up there”. Which way is your head tilted? Never mind, we see this point in our Parsha which discusses an Ir Miklat, (basically, if someone murdered someone by mistake he had a “city of refuge” to run to, where he would be saved from the relative trying to avenge his relatives blood). Now, when the murderer saw signs leading to an Ir Miklat, he knew he was on the right track. Same thing more spiritually, Hashem shows us the right

This week we asked the following question to 770 random campers and here are the results:

When do staff find out about a trip? 46% After the campers 58% Before they come to camp 72% When they hit the floor after they trip!

Explanations:

bright path full of life. He doesn't just throw us into the world, like a ship without a captain. He gives us his Torah, and especially Chassidus, which lights up the path for us, showing us the way towards the “City of Refuge”.

1) “Stand still or else the picture will be shaky” 2) Camp finally receives a creative photographer

The captain is the Rebbe who helps us connect to Hashem. Through the Sichos, dollars, Brochos and answers (-even today) we realize that there is something higher then what meets the eye in this coarse world. Our Shabbos is called “Shabbos Nachamu”, which means “Be comforted”. May we “be comforted” with the coming of Moshiach Now! Most repeated song of the week:

Alone as a camper Alone! Alone! Etc. Vechulu. Vedal.

3) “Yevarechecha Hashem Veyishmerecha...” 4) More explantions will be given Friday night, stay tuned!

An interview with a staff member ATH: Do yourself a member?

you consider dedicated staff

CFS: Yes!

CFS: Camp Flagpole Shlita.

ATH: That’s terrible! Why don’t you tell them to stop?

ATH: Why do you consider yourself a staff member?

CFS: They don’t listen to me!

CFS: Because I am a big staff.

ATH: Why is that? CFS: Because I am always on time to lineup! ATH: Wow! That is pretty impressive! CFS: Sometimes I’m the only staff member by lineup, especially in the morning.

An extreme investigation has begun by a team of researchers and scientists, as to which water tastes better.

American water is so bad, it even made the American scientist come to such a ludicrous conclusion.

investigation, they replied that they have no permission to enter the premises of a lake, since it is behind a fence.

ATH: Do you help camp in other ways?

ATH: How much do you get paid?

CFS: I stay in camp throughout the whole year!

CFS: I don’t get paid.

The American team has proven with pictured evidence, that one drop of Canadian water can kill as many as twenty mice.

Their research included 76% bottled water, 95% sink water and 0.1% camp water.

All agree however, that buying a bottle of water in a bagel store, costs more than the cost of this entire research.

ATH: You are really dedicated! Do you get any recognition?

CFS: Because I’m a flagpole!

The heated debate continues.

CFS: Not really, campers usually

ATH: What? Why not? ATH: What do you mean? What is your name?

CFS: It feels hot in the summer and cold in the winter. ATH: Any final words to our readers? CFS: Yes! Please try to stand with more respect by lineup. It hurts my feelings when people just don’t care about me, and don’t realize how important I am to camp. ATH: That’s more than enough, thank you for your time! CFS: Well, I can’t run away from you, like the other staff.
