Lucy Turmel Interview
At Chassis Cab, we believe in the power of potential—and in the importance of supporting local talent as they rise to meet their dreams. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to sponsor Lucy Turmel, a professional squash player from Ipswich whose journey from local courts to the global stage is a shining example of dedication, passion, and perseverance.
Biggest challenge as a pro athlete?
The time away and travel. The feeling of not doing your best or constantly wanting more
Is the Idea of owning a coffee shop still something you’d like to pursue after squash?
This is definitely what I would like to do post squash. But I have heard it’s not as lavish as I think it might be!!
What do you enjoy doing during the off-season when you get time to relax?
I like to spend time at home. I’m not a massively social person. When my season finishes in June I look forward to switching off and going on holiday without my rackets. It’s much needed mentally and physically after a long, busy season.
April Puzzle

What advice would you give to young athletes hoping to follow a similar path?
Enjoy being you, which is different to anyone else. If people are talking about you, that’s a good thing!
Any Tournaments coming up?
I have a bit of a mad end to the season. With a tournament schedule consisting of, London, Egypt, Bermuda, Zurich, Amsterdam, Egypt, Birmingham! Lots of opportunity!

We all experience stress at times, but it’s important to remember that support is available if you’re finding things difficult. Chassis Cab employees have access to confidential wellbeing resources through Help@Hand, which offers guidance, support and practical tools to help manage stress and other challenges. If you feel you may benefit from extra support, we encourage you to make use of the resources available.

With continuous investments in technology, sustainability, and employees, DAF holds a vital industrial position in Belgium.

First electric heavy-goods vehicle travels through the Channel Tunnel with LeShuttle Freight
The Channel Tunnel, managed and operated by Eurotunnel, is a vital European trade corridor. Through its LeShuttle Freight services, it carries a quarter of all goods traded in value between the UK and continental Europe, with over a million trucks crossing each year. As the leader in lowcarbon transportation, Eurotunnel offers the only zero-direct-emission way to cross the Channel, with services powered entirely by electricity

Well done to everyone for all your hard work during 2025. Thanks to the efforts across our teams, Ipswich was awarded a “BC” rating, while Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket and Cambridge all achieved “A” Dealer status. This is a great achievement and reflects the commitment shown across all departments. We have now received our 2026 KPIs from DAF and have agreed on our Environmental Objectives for 2026 and would like to share these updates with all employees, as we work towards achieving these targets.
As always, staff input plays an important role in helping us set and achieve these objectives. We would encourage everyone to continue putting forward suggestions and ideas that could support improvements.
If you have any suggestions, please discuss them with your Line Manager or the Compliance Department.
