A case study on the Cristalleries Plannell, by architects Harquitectes in Barcelona 2016.
A project exploring the planning, intent, climate strategy and technical detail of the case study. This case study uses retrofit as a key part of the design, whilst having an admirable environmental strategy. The building uses solar chimneys to circulate air whilst heating and cooling- by using the Venturi effect. This is a prime example of design oriented around mitigating climate change through passive environmental strategy.
A lecture discourse follows which complimented the project to inspire the cohort on design led by technology.
